What you'll do:
Manage service and repair personnel by assigning and directing activities, following up on repairs, performing necessary repairs, and appraising the performance of shop personnel.
Confer with the Maintenance Manager/General Manager to arrange for equipment, including motor vehicles, compaction equipment, and support equipment, to be released from service for inspection, service, or repair.
Plan and schedule repairs in the TMW planner, procuring all necessary parts to ensure successful execution of the repair plan.
Oversee all aspects of the tire program and attend all tire scrap outs, managing purchase orders on a monthly basis and reconciling TMW with the Corporate Purchasing Card.
Manage month-end close processes, including all end-of-month reports and inventory integrity, while authorizing and arranging the purchase of supplies, tools, uniforms, and machinery, and contracts for repair services not performed in the shop with Maintenance Manager/General Manager approval. Additionally, investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of damage to vehicles or property due to accidents, assist in hiring, training, and monitoring the performance of service and repair personnel, and maintain all vehicle inspections, maintenance, and safety records required by federal, state, or local agencies and company policies. Act as the backup for the Shop Supervisor/Maintenance Manager when necessary.
What's required:
Experience with the Vehicle Inspection program
Valid driver's license
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment
Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft software and ability to adapt to new software programs
