Position Description:
This position is a full time, 9-month, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor located in the Department of City and Regional Planning within the College of Arts and Sciences. This position is expected to spend approximately 40% research, 40% teaching, and 20% service. The scholar in this position will conduct rigorous research using appropriate methodologies including a variety of quantitative and/or qualitative methods. This position carries a 2 course per semester teaching load in spring and fall. Courses will be determined based on the selected candidate's expertise and departmental needs. This position is expected to teach and mentor at all levels. The scholar in this position will show a desire to train and work with a diverse body of students. This position will conduct service that includes, but is not limited to search committees, review committees and administrative roles within the department and/or College.
Education Requirements:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Planning or related fields by the start date of the appointment.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will be expected to develop or extend a record of scholarly contribution as well as contribute to teaching and service at all levels.
