SALARY : The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $122,000 - $139,431
Job Summary:
Provides support for the AVANGRID Energy Control Systems used to monitor and control Gas Environments & Back office-based platforms.
•Defines and maintains supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) databases and definitions, maintains telemetry data and evaluates and maintains accurate information in the SCADA system. •Support the specification, design, testing and development of the SCADA system to ensure that changing functional requirements are met. •Design enhancements to the ECS systems to improve the user interfaces. •Coordinate the safe and orderly commissioning of new and redesigned intelligent electronic devices and instrumentation as well as other systems and components in Gate Stations and other interconnecting facilities. •Monitors and ensures that systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained according to operational requirements and standards for safety and reliability. •Documents commissioning procedures, provides operational assistance and troubleshooting. •Analyzes key system data to ensure that the Gas Environment can operate in a safe, reliable and coordinated manner in accordance with all operating principles and standards. •Works within the Control Center environment and supports Cyber Security requirements for Control Center operations. Maintains and creates documentation for supported platforms and systems to meet all regulatory requirements/ standards.

24x7 On-call support of the Gas SCADA System
Experience in programming and commissioning RTUs and remote site equipment
GE RX3i PACSystems
TBox RTUs
PLCs with Function block Diagrams
Understanding and knowledge of Databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Etc.)
How to query, configure and edit.
Understanding Networking, security, computer hardware, software applications and data communication equipment.
Experience using various SCADA protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPCUA, TCP-IP)
Provide training to new employees and colleagues.
Knowledge in Gas Measurement fundamentals.
Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
Control System Architecture drawings, P&IDs, electric control/loop diagrams and other engineering specifications.
Experience to make sound decisions will working in a high-pressure environment outside normal working hours.
Able to work independently and contribute proactively to drive results.
The ability to demonstrate good communication skills both written and orally.
Must be available to work emergency storm assignments as required.
Education & Experience Required:
•5-10+ years technically related experience. •Applied Science degree (Engineering preferred) 7+ years technical experience. •BS Degree with 5+ years technical experience.
