TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician located in Byhalia, MS.
Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of the electrical and electronic systems of industrial manufacturing equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Apply electrical theory and deductive reasoning to diagnose causes of equipment malfunction or failure.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and processes to aid in troubleshooting
- Analyze controller logic and programming to aid in troubleshooting
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints
- Perform repair of electrical and electronic equipment systems
- Provide detailed corrective action data when closing work orders
- Determine preventive actions to improve reliability of manufacturing equipment
- Mentor maintenance mechanics on electrical theory and troubleshooting.
- Correspond frequently with Maintenance staff to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology preferred.
- Five years' experience diagnosing and conducting repairs of electrical/electronic systems of manufacturing equipment required.
- Possess a general experience utilizing electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment required.
- Possess a general experience with multiple controller types such as GE, Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, etc. required.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills required.
- General working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of a CMMS preferred.
- Possess a general knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Possess a general knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role.
- Possess the ability to take initiative and anticipate needs while working independently with minimal guidance.
