Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst will work with a multi-disciplinary team of other analysts, clinical, and technology staff in performing analyses of non-financial and financial information, verifying integrity of data, performing detailed analysis to determine compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other applicable laws. The Senior Analyst will prepare written documents supporting professional decisions and will perform other types of related tasks involving health care program integrity. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for supervising team members and managing small projects.
Essential Functions:
Conduct research in order to determine compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations
Assist with performing various analyses relating to Medicaid engagements
Review applicable Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations relating to managed care, healthcare eligibility, reimbursement, and quality incentive programs
Review, summarize, and apply policies and regulations specific to various analyses and audits
Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement
Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material
Maintain thorough electronic documentation and active communication
Prepare and distribute analytical data reports and/or records utilizing information gathered from variable subject matter
Work with the defined scope of the project
Mentor, train and provide assistance to other team members
Handle phone calls and e-mails from various stakeholders including providers, managed care plans, and government agency representatives to answer any questions
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, health policy or related field required
CPA, CPA eligible, CFE, preferred
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, program integrity and managed care experience preferred
Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Windows
Must have strong ability to analyze data to identify issues and potential fraud, waste and abuse
Organized and detail oriented with strong problem solving skills and proficient communication
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
The Team: Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Benefit/Program Integrity engagement team.
Work Style: Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
