Description: Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst in Coppell, TX
This job will have the following responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will be accountable for creating monthly forecasts and budgets (operational and overhead), generating financial reports, driving & reporting on monthly cost saving initiatives. Responsible for loading financial data to QlikSense BI tool (dashboard) and validating dashboard for accuracy.
The position requires interaction with a broad number of employees to validate data and collaborate on discrepancies found. This position is a key role in the critical analysis of costs associated with the overall mobile logistics operations (Import, Warehouse & Transportation). This position is also responsible for supporting improvement opportunities throughout the organization, for monitoring discrepancies and escalating to appropriate parties.
DUTIES AND RESPONISIBLITIES
Data analysis
Develop financial models that help with decision-making
Produce financial reports related to expenses, budgets, account payables, cost savings, etc.
Develop long-term business plans based on these reports
Review, monitor, and manage budgets
Create and submit monthly forecast and variance analysis
Reallocation of costs to appropriate cost centers
Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk
Identify opportunities for performance improvement
Work closely with business operations leaders, finance, accounting, HQ, and other logistics members to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities
Responsible for driving continuous process improvements as related to financial management and reporting
Develop and maintain executive decks of the mobile logistics financial performance
Ad-Hoc Projects
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related (essential)
Minimum 5 years in financial planning & analysis, accounting, corporate finance, or other related fields
Results driven and ability to handle multiple projects
Profound interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of the company
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations with internal & external stakeholders
High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
Korean bilingual preferred
Experience in a logistics supply chain (operations) environment preferred
Experience with SAP preferred
