Description: Role: Principal Engineer for Commercial Bank Generative AI Project
Responsibilities:
Ramp up a team.
Lead as the principal engineer.
Define solutions, create project plans, and work with the delivery team on non-functional requirements.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in software development.
5+ years of experience in driving technical collaboration across multiple teams and organizations.
Experience in building and improving Information Retrieval and Ranking, Machine Learning, and Embedding systems.
Proficiency in developing and implementing machine learning models using Google Vertex AI and Python, specifically in Generative AI applications.
Expertise in indexing, retrieval, and ranking stacks.
Understanding of LLM fine-tuning, distillation, data generation, and prompt engineering across various tasks.
Ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with groups such as Engineering, Product Management, AI COE, UX, and UI, and brokering trade-offs with stakeholders while understanding their needs.
Outstanding narrative and storytelling skills that drive usage, adoption, and market momentum.
