We support the Commercial Vehicle Systems Department by maintaining and repairing gaseous emissions equipment especially Horiba MEXA emissions benches.
Objectives of this Role:
Serve as the technologist lead for Horiba MEXA emissions benches by developing laboratory processes and technical protocols to improve their operation.
Work with internal project leaders to ensure that specialized pieces of testing equipment (Horiba MEXA benches) are appropriately customized to their project needs.
Work with management to improve existing preventive maintenance practices and implement new procedures.
Crosstrain to develop similar technological expertise on other equipment managed by the group.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Perform complex laboratory equipment customization for Horiba emissions benches and other equipment.
Assist with other instrument troubleshooting/repairs on an on-call basis
Meet with project leaders to understand their analysis needs and properly identify equipment and procedures to meet them
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology preferably Mechanical, but Chemical or Electrical Engineering Technology would also apply with related experience and knowledge.
0-6 years: Experience with complex and customized equipment for automotive emissions testing, especially Horiba MEXA emissions benches.
25 years: For those without a Bachelors degree with related experience.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
