Spray Foam Insulation Installer - will be responsible for spraying into the exterior wall and attics before drywall, paneling or plaster wall are put in place.
Responsibilities
Loads and logs materials onto truck and makes notation of returned materials
Erects ladders and scaffolds
Checks netting for areas that may need blocking, and prepares machine by checking oil, belts and obstructions
Operates equipment that injects foam insulation by carrying/holding a hose up to 150 feet long and weigh up to 56 lbs.
Climbs ladders and crawls in attics frequently throughout the day
Checks density in wall areas
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2-5 years' experience in construction industry, experience installing insulation a plus
Experience with exterior/interior painting
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools, including tape measure, laser level, and drill
Able to climb up and down a ladder
Excellent attention to detail
Able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure
Excellent customer service skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Able to work in tight and confined places like attics and crawlspaces
Able to work independently and or with a crew
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have a valid driver's license to drive a company vehicle
Position requires a Drug Test and Motor Vehicle Report to be completed, contingent upon employment.
Physical Demands
Foam insulation workers must be able to use common hand tools-trowels, brushes, knives, scissors, saws, pliers, and stapling hammer, as well as operate the equipment that injects foam insulation.
Foam insulation workers must be able to read job instructions and record materials to work order.
Workers must be able to work in tight places or in high places from ladders or scaffolding.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding repeatedly in a day.
Must be able to frequently bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist and knees with spray hose in hand.
Work Environment
Works in a construction environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.
