Field Supervisor is responsible to coordinate employees, components and equipment schedules to build adequate quantities of product to meet customer demand while managing overtime, equipment maintenance, and being compliant with company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Monitors and evaluates the completion of work in the field to ensure work completed is meeting or exceeding IBP's standards of excellence.
Ensure all employees working at the job-sites are following proper safety protocols.
Evaluates production schedules to plan manpower to meet production needs
Intervene as necessary to correct quality control or safety issues
Directs the development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
Works closely with the Production Manager to establish departmental budgets, cost reduction goals and utilization or improvement objectives.
Oversee warehouse operations
Process incoming materials and place in proper area in warehouse
Load and unload material per each work order
Assist the production manager as necessary.
Ensures compliance of OSHA and Company Safety policies and programs.
Maintains job completion paperwork and updates information into Job Core
Responsible for dispatching insulation crews out each morning
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in Construction / Project Management
Associates degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred
3-5 years of management experience
Hands on experience in residential construction, and knowledge of insulation field
Proficient in Microsoft word products including word, excel and outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to problem solve and able to make decisions
Excellent organizational skills and be able to multi-task
Able to meet deadlines in a timely manner
Must have a valid driver's license to drive a company vehicle
Position requires a Drug Test and Motor Vehicle Report, Background Check (if applicable) to be completed, contingent upon employment.
Physical Demands
Able to walk through construction sites, up and down ladders or scaffolds.
Able to drive and possesses a valid driver's license.
Work Environment
Construction and office environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.
