Threat Tec, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business, has an immediate opening for a Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise and Culture Instructor (TE/REC) to join our growing company in MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (Ft Bragg, NC; Joint Base Lewis-McCord; Eglin Air Force Base, FL; Ft Carson, CO; Ft Campbell, KY). SUMMARY:Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor to support the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) (1st SFC(A)), which has an ongoing requirement for Theater Engagement Instruction services. 1st SFC (A) is a major subordinate command within the U.S. Army Special Operations. Senior Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor will provide 1st SFC with current mission focused regionally specific Theater Engagement training curriculum development, instructional training/delivery, and incorporating Government theater assessments in accordance with Commander's mission requirements and priorities.Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor will provide Theater Engagement training development and Regional Expertise, informational products, instructional training/delivery in accordance with Commander's mission requirements and priorities. Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor will develop an understanding of the historical, political, military, cultural, linguistic, religious, sociological (includes demographic), economic, and geographic factors of a foreign country or specific global region. Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor will conduct critical needs analysis, detailed reviews, and evaluations of plans, studies, and trends of specific regions within 1st SFC(A) Area of Responsibility (AOR) and incorporate into curriculum and informational products.Theater Engagement and Regional Expertise Instructor will be required to conduct classroom training, situational training exercises, isolated immersions (traditionally consolidated training plans and CONUS based), participate in Pre-Mobilization Training (PMT) exercises based on specific military or civilian tasks or situations, and conduct assessments of training upon completion to validate comprehension. All training and instruction provided will be based on current and relevant information collected through research and Government subject matter experts (SMEs). These situational training exercises and isolated immersions may be combined with language training such that they are carried out in classroom environments, target region or field training environments.
Responsibilities
Assess and develop training and informational products based on research and analysis of priority locations throughout AOR in order to present Theater Engagement analysis and train personnel through briefings, classroom or field environments.
Provide regional training of the specific units Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Incorporate cross-cultural/intercultural competency into Theater Engagement curriculum.
Provide country specific regional and culture training and end of training assessments.
Maintain a positive and professional learning environment, address curriculum gaps, and collaborate with Government on student behavior and attendance concerns.
Develop synchronous, asynchronous, and blended Theater Engagement training solutions in accordance with AR 11-6, CJCS INST 3126.01A (LREC Capability, Identification, Planning and Sourcing), USSOCOM 350-8, 1st SFC(A) 350-1, and other supporting regulations, policies, and DA-PAMS.
Conduct assessments of training via written test, oral presentations, homework, etc. and upon completion to validate comprehension of Theater Engagement training.
Qualifications
Instructors will have education and experience related to the specific AOR they are supporting.
A bachelor's degree (US accredited school) with studies related to foreign relations, international studies, military science, military history, leadership, international relations, anthropology, economics, history, political science, language(s) of the target region, or sociology.
At least 8 years of combined experience within DoD or other Government Agency directly supporting the specific AOR they are supporting (SOUTHCOM, PACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, or AFRICOM). Combined experience includes:
1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) living in or deploying to any of the target AORs requiring daily interaction/cooperative work with Host Nation (HN) personnel.
At least 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) working at Joint Command level or higher conducting theater specific planning within or in support of Special Operations. Combined experience shall include all of the following:
Experience coordinating by, with and through foreign nation personnel at high government levels.
Experience in planning, conducting, leading, and management of Joint Special Operations missions.
Experience interacting with military and civilian educational resources/programs.
At least 2 years' military or civilian instructional experience. OR
At least 15 years of combined experience within DoD or other Government Agency directly supporting the specific AOR they are supporting (SOUTHCOM, PACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, or AFRICOM). Combined experience includes:
1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) living in or deploying to any of the target AORs requiring daily interaction/cooperative work with Host Nation (HN) personnel.
At least 5 years of experience (within the last 7 years) working at Joint Command level or higher conducting theater specific planning within Special Operations. Combined experience shall include all of the following:
Experience coordinating by, with and through foreign nation personnel at high government levels.
Experience in planning, conducting, leading, and management of Joint Special Operations missions.
Experience interacting with military and civilian educational resources/programs.
At least 2 years' military or civilian instructional experience.
Attended an approved DOD language course, and maintains a minimum of 1+/1+ (OPI) 1+ (DLPT Reading) in target AOR.

Travel Requirements
Yes, CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required. Theater Engagement instructors will support the SFG locations they are assigned to and travel to the 4th/8th MISG & 95th CAB to support their specific Area of Responsibility (AOR) Theater Engagement requirements.
