Job Summary
As part of the Kelley School Infrastructure team, the candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of both physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This position will handle file server hardware, orchestrate client-side network changes, print management, and tier 2 Windows end-user support in collaboration with the Help Desk and Network Operations Center (NOC).
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Assists in disaster recovery planning, vulnerability assessments, and provides support for innovation and infrastructure projects as well as faculty research projects.
Performs project management and coordination for infrastructure-related projects
Maintains the security and efficiency of assigned servers, implements updates, manages patches, and ensures compliance with security best practices.
Supports Kelley's Active Directory Organizational Units (OUs), including group policy, group accounts, mailbox and calendars.
Supports Windows print management, ensuring seamless integration across the enterprise.
Manages and supports server hardware, including physical and virtual servers.
Performs server OS management, patching, and updates.
Assists and leads networking tasks related to Wi-Fi, VLAN, DNS, DHCP reservations, and other networking components, coordinating with Help Desk and escalating to NOC as needed.
Manages print server hardware and administration, coordinates with IT Purchasing, IU Print, and maintains print server environments.
Provides support for escalated ServiceNow tickets, Teams inquiries, and other technical issues as part of the Help Desk team.
Manages and supports Active Directory group accounts.
Administers Exchange mailboxes, including calendars, distribution lists, and permissions.
Conducts regular vulnerability assessments, performs mitigations for assigned servers, and assists in security reviews.
Participates in various infrastructure and innovation initiatives to improve the IT environment.
Assists faculty with research-related IT needs and projects.
Helps in disaster recovery planning, reviews, and execution.
Performs PowerShell scripting
Performs vulnerability and security management
General Responsibilities
Conducts experienced assessments to understand client business needs and strategic direction and identifies technology solutions to achieve goals; consults with IT staff and business users to identify, analyze, refine and document business requirements and processes and develop associated solutions.
Facilitates and leads interviews, focus groups, and workshops to establish current and future business requirements; coordinates the communication between stakeholders and service owners in order to effectively implement solutions.
Performs experienced business analyses, including construction of data models, business use cases, process flows and technical specifications for transition to IT solutions; establishes system requirements through functional and technical assessments of existing software.
Provides stakeholders with necessary analysis documentation for buy-in, leadership decision, and implementation; conducts walk-throughs of recommended system functionality and prototypes with business users in small group or large group settings.
Ensures uniform documentation presentation and content structure including, but not limited to, online documentation.
Develops test plans and conducts system/integration testing; tests changes, enhancements, and new programs or functions to ensure they meet business needs.

2 years of business analysis experience working on complex problems and producing concrete, actionable solutions

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
