Production Planner - Intermediate Level

3D Systems seeks a motivated and enthusiastic production planner. This planner will need to have experience managing production schedules and plans and coordinate the flow of work according to daily and weekly production schedules. This employee will execute all production planning activities, inventory control, and related issues such as on-time delivery. What We Are Looking For

Create production schedule in Oracle and facilitate all Work in Process transactions.

Plans worldwide production using order point and forecasting processes. Releases work orders and amends the bill of materials to incorporate material changes.

Provides support to Customer Service for Field Spare Items.

Maintain all MRP parameters and jobs in Oracle. Utilizes activity data to prepare required weekly spares activity reports.

Completes various projects defined by the planning supervisor, including data collection, charting data, and tracking data to maintain and meet department goals and objectives.

Ensure current and accurate information regarding parts, suppliers, shipment status in input, and
it is reflected in the installed ERP system (Oracle).

Manage inventory flow of production parts and finished goods-notification of critical part shortages or non-conformances.

Monitors obsolete inventory, optimizing utilization and reducing inventory write-offs. Integrates all Engineering changes as necessary.

Interacts with the appropriate office or department to schedule, coordinate, and verify anticipated demand.

Performs other duties are required

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required
- APICS CPIM desired

Qualifications:

5+ years related work experience
Production planning experience using SAP or Oracle
Inventory management experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, familiarity with financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; ability to effectively communicate with suppliers
