Implement Inspection and Testing Plan, and Quality Plan Procedures required to build a quality project conforming to design, specification, relevant standards and codes.
Essential Functions
In coordination with field management and project schedule, plan and coordinate all required inspections and testing.
Assist all 3rd parties conducting an on-site quality or technical review, audit, test or inspection of the work, materials or equipment.
Prepare Weekly Quality Site Activity Report and Monthly Quality Summary Report.
Review all test, inspection, site observation or surveillance reports, and record any deficiencies and non-conformities.
Supervise Quality Control (QC) functions including internal inspection of work and completion of all related QC check sheets.
Review the current drawings, Design Change Notices (DCN), Supplemental Site Instructions (SSI), Requests for Information (RFI) and red-line drawings. Report any deficiencies in production of red-line mark-ups.
Conduct regular site inspection of work compliance with the IFC design drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and codes, as well as receiving and storage of materials inspections.
Provide training, tools and techniques to enable field staff, suppliers and subcontractors to achieve required quality standards and ensure that inspections, tests and procedures are properly understood and carried out.
Manage site document control and control on non-conforming product functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Quality Control and Assurance Management Systems.
Multi-disciplinary Engineering; knowledge of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical fields as it relates to construction of medical or institutional facilities.
Exceptional communication skills.
Previous experience with MTO project requirements would be an asset
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering field or equivalent.
Previous experience in a quality control functions for construction of infrastructure projects.
