Description: Our client is currently seeking an EHS Specialist.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety within our facility.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Provide EHS training and education to employees.
Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
3 years of experience in an EHS role Highly prefer some experience in an industrial setting
In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
