Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Build statistical and analytical algorithms to validate the accuracy of partner payment settlements using complex data on sales, returns, chargebacks, taxes, commissions, and payment history. Define and proactively monitor financial, operational, and Payment's 'Health Metrics' to drive operational excellence, improve seller experience, and help reduce payment friction. Build and refine dashboards and monitor payment, risk, and dispute trends. Work directly with product, operations, and other business partners on key processes to create efficiency, reduce errors and escalations, and help marketplace seller payments scale. Identify opportunities for simplification and automation. Monitor the incidents and escalations, identify the gaps and seller impact outlining the protocols and SLAs, and communicate to leadership. Execute settlement actions such as payment holds, payment reserves, and seller suspensions using data-driven risk models and rules. Analyze large and complex data to identify anomalies and devise strategies for settlements, commissions, and tax optimization. Design, test, and simulate business rules and models before impacting production. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field.
Skills required: Experience with data visualization for complex data sets for communication and business decisions. Experience with data strategy for better data governance and data quality. Experience with SQL programming and databases and integrating and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources. Experience supporting product discovery, providing business impact sizing, and assessing the performance of Product Features. Experience with process improvement initiatives to scale data and measurement solutions. Experience with data analysis and customer-focused business solutions. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
