Position: Senior Data Scientist
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Research, design, and implement Machine Learning models and cutting-edge algorithms on high-dimensional, fast-moving, unstructured and structured data. Process complicated and large-scale datasets using distributed computing platform, extract insights from data, predict future trends, and optimize towards business metrics. Build advanced feature extraction algorithms that feed into various advertising applications, including forecasting, ranking, optimization, and measurement. Build machine learning and statistical models to predict or estimate key signals that are used to optimize advertising product performance. Run large scale statistical A/B testing to evaluate performance of machine learning and statistical models in advertising applications which serve hundreds of millions of impressions per day. Build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring and sharing business insights with cross-team stakeholders.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience with statistical and predictive modeling and incorporating cutting-edge machine learning techniques to solve business needs using supervised models including XGBoost, SVM, Tree Methods, and Transformer. Experience coding in Python. Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or Natural Language Processing. Experience with Tensorflow and PyTorch. Experience improving model design and implementation by setting clear, measurable and achievable goals, monitoring the progress, and ensuring the deliverables are met using precision, recall, F-measure, accuracy, and MSE. Experience working with Big Data technologies, database management, and distributed computing using one or more of the following: GCP, Hadoop, PySpark, Hive, or SQL. Experience deriving meaningful business insights through data analytics, visualization, and inference using pipelining, hypothesis testing, dashboarding, and A/B testing. Experience with Version Control System Git. Experience with business requirements and the AdTech industry. Experience deriving business insights. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience taking ownership of projects and ensuring optimized high-quality solutions. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
