The Stars Project Consultant is responsible for supporting the Stars Program Performance Manager, who is responsible for supporting Star measure owners with initiative development and tracking, driving cross-enterprise ideation and collaboration to improve performance, escalating risks or issues with implementation progress and budget adherence to Stars leadership, and facilitating key Stars support meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborates with initiative owners to establish key leading indicators for new initiatives and ensures they are added to the dashboard.
Manages dashboard to ensure it is updated by initiative owners on agreed upon cadence.
Monitors performance of measures and KPI's.
Completes portfolio review by assigned domain to uncover new opportunities to improve performance.
Stays current with latest best practices for each Star measure on the assigned domain to ensure optimal portfolio performance.
Supports in agenda development, facilitation and minutes for Star meetings.
Serves as the interface between Stars leadership and measure owners to ensure transparency and alignment across all tactical work efforts.
Liaises across the National MA Model and the Plan Partners functional areas to facilitate cross-enterprise visibility into Stars efforts, identify cross-function opportunities for collaboration / support, and ensure cohesion across all current and planned Stars initiatives.
Share input to both Star metric/domain owners and Stars leadership team on which Star initiatives have overlap/redundant gap work coupled with key metric KPIs that are not on target to meet goal.
Performs administrative/operational duties that require independent initiative.
Provides assistance on technical matters and act as a significant information resource.
Cross-organizational communication with Stars stakeholders.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in a related environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Working knowledge of Stars operations measures and data analysis.
Two (2) years of experience in Government Quality programs, preferably Medicare Stars. In lieu of experience, master's degree in a healthcare field.
One year of healthcare provider and payer experience or its equivalent is preferred.

Pay Range
Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $62,100 and $104,000.
