Overview



Salary Range $17.50 - $18.50 plus $2 for second shift (SECOND SHIFT ONLY - Monday - Friday 2 PM to 10:30 PM + possible overtime)




POSITION OVERVIEW:



General shop helper and will be doing very basic machine operating on CNC Lathes and Mills. They will also cut material and help out on other machines as needed, maybe work a press machine from time to time.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.


Responsible for assisting the Machinists in carrying out production and manufacturing functions as required for day to day operation.

• Perform secondary machining operations


• Monitor and run CNC machine(s)


• Perform initial parts inspection


• Production tooling, grind basic turn tools


• Cleaning and maintenance of CNC machine(s)


• Sawing


• Honing/Lubing


• Machine Tending


• Material Handling


• Ensure area is kept clean and safe to 5S standards.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION



To perform this job successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player and able to make decisions under pressure with a cross functional team of individuals. The additional requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience. Must be able to read and write.


• Fluent in English; read, write and speak preferred.


• Ability to multitask, prioritize and adjust in a fast pace work environment and make timely decisions in a manufacturing environment.


• Adhere to manufacturing environment safety requirements.


• Ability to qualify on forklift


• Understand basic hand and measuring tool usage.


• Ability to perform repetitive functions daily


• Good organizational skill and attention to detail


• Minimum 1 year machine tool experience/general machining ability (measuring devices/blueprints) preferred or Snap-on manufacturing experience.


• Willing to work overtime as needed.
