What We are Looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated Embedded Software Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is a unique blend of Scrum Master and Product Owner responsibilities, offering a chance to lead embedded software projects from concept to production. You will play a critical role in ensuring our embedded software development process is efficient and that our products meet the high-quality standards expected by our customers. Primary Job Functions


  • Scrum Master Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth Agile processes.
    • Coach and guide the embedded software team on Agile principles and practices, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment.
    • Identify and remove impediments that may obstruct the team's progress, ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor and track project progress, using tools like Jira, to ensure deliverables are on time and within scope.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency within the team.
  • Product Owner Responsibilities:

    • Define, manage, and prioritize the software team backlog, aligning with business goals and customer needs as defined by the product manager, as well as technical feasibility.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams, to gather and refine requirements.
    • Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals and progress.
    • Make informed recommendations on trade-offs between scope, schedule, and cost, maintaining a balance between delivering value and managing resources.
    • Continuously evaluate product performance and user feedback to drive improvements and iterations.
  • General Team Leadership:

    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are understood and achieved.
    • Mentor and support team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
    • Drive the team towards achieving sprint goals and overall project objectives, while maintaining high morale and motivation.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Education and Training


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred.

Experience


  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software components or a role encompassing significant aspects of embedded engineering.
  • Proven experience in a Scrum Master or Product Owner role, ideally within an embedded systems or related environment.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile project management tools, such as Jira or similar.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
