Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician establishes and manages systems to ensure raw materials, products and processes meet Inwesco quality standards and customer expectations. Spends 80% of time actively involved on the production floor.
Job Responsibilities
Manages product performance load testing according to specifications to approve production startup and generating test reports for compliance
Manages floor process audits and product inspections and ensures they are completed and compile scores and failure reasons and work with Production and Engineering to implement materials/mold/process improvements
Manages the incoming testing of raw materials and reviews data for trends and improvements and communicates variations and works with Materials Engineering for improvements
Track scrap and % defective reason data and work with Production and Engineering to troubleshoot and find solutions and improvements to processes, documentation and machines
Key driver in writing and maintaining Corrective Action & Preventive Action reports for the plant with root-cause identification efforts using the following: (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEAs and Control plans)
Translate QA manual requirements into standard work processes and procedures and ensure the QA department carries out these tasks
Manage plant calibrations and ensure all measuring equipment and inspection tools including scales, load cells, calipers, heat guns, Go no/go gauges are in tolerance
Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
High School or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment, or quality background
At least 5 years of quality experience
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Computer (Microsoft Office) and math skills
Good time management skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day
