SUMMARY


The Process Engineer will be key in optimizing and improving our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The successful candidate will analyze existing processes, identify improvement areas, and implement solutions to drive operational excellence. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* Core team member for product and process risk analysis.
* Conduct detailed analyses of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, maintenance, and management, to develop and implement process improvements.
* Design, develop, and implement new processes, equipment, and tools to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
* Create/maintain CAD drawings.
* Utilize process simulation software and other tools to model, optimize, and validate proposed improvements.
* Develop and maintain process documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma projects to drive waste reduction and process optimization.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and ensure smooth production operations.
* Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to process engineering and manufacturing.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree preferred).
* 2+ years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing preferred.
* Experience in the aerospace, military, and defense industries, or cable assembly businesses preferred.


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Conversational in any other language preferred.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


* Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
* Statistics: Interpret and analyze numerical data using statistical methods.


JOB SKILLS


* Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and SharePoint, is necessary. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as charter, risk register, and timeline.
* Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD, or similar tools.
* Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
* Write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
* Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement techniques.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing successful process improvements that resulted in tangible operational benefits.
* Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards applicable to manufacturing processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


This is a work environment where employees typically work inside a facility and perform various tasks related to storing processing, and shipping goods and materials. Some of the everyday activities that a warehouse worker does are preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, receiving and processing warehouse stock products, performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits, keeping a clean and safe working environment, and optimizing space utilization and operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment.


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS


* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
* Hearing protection in specific locations.
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
