Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM) in the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Systems. This appointment will start in Fall 2025. Fields of Emphasis: All areas in Information Systems are welcome, with preference in data analytics.


Quinlan tenure-track faculty engage in impactful teaching, high-quality research, service to the profession and school, and share a strong commitment to and understanding of the University's mission. We seek candidates who can teach both introductory and advanced courses. These courses range from traditional information systems courses (such as Business Requirements Analysis, Systems Analysis & Design, Computer Programming, and Database Systems) to courses with analytics focus (such as Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Data Visualization, and Business Data Analytics). Regardless of the course level, the faculty member is expected to exhibit focus, determination, and enthusiasm for the course and the students. It's equally important that the faculty member engages in dynamic discipline-related research producing a continuous stream of quality scholarly publications and other scholarship results. Quinlan values high quality research, research that spans multiple disciplines and research that promotes the University's mission. The initial teaching load is four courses per year, which may be undergraduate or graduate.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related discipline by date of appointment. Evidence of interest, ability, and willingness to teach a variety of information systems courses, engage in academic research and maintain an active research agenda.
