RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II
Civil & Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applications from extraordinarily qualified individuals for a Research Associate II position. This position will be regular and include benefits. Provides support and research in areas of 1) source tracking of environmental contaminants in both natural and engineered systems; 2) monitoring and modeling of the dynamics of environmental microbiomes; and 3) developing laboratory protocols for chemical and microbiological analyses. Responsibilities include design and implementation of field/laboratory sampling and analysis; modeling and data analytics; preparing and presenting project reports; publishing research results in academic journals; and participating in writing research proposals.
Requirements:
· Master’s in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
· 2 years of research experience (including degree program) in water/wastewater quality with training in advanced instrumentation for chemical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
· PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
· 4 years of experience in molecular microbial ecology research
