The Community Solution Education System is seeking a dedicated Military Outreach Liaison who will serve as an ambassador for The Community Solution and its colleges and universities. This position is located on Edwards Air Force Base and will serve as the main point of contact to prospective students interested in pursuing their education. The liaison will be the face of The Community Solution at Edwards Air Force Base focusing on military affiliated new student recruitment initiatives and providing professional, supportive, and dependable service on-site. The ideal candidate will have military experience (i.e. veteran status, active part-time status, spouse/partner of military personnel, etc.).
Position Responsibilities:
Represent The Community Solution with the utmost professionalism, establishing and fostering positive professional relationships with staff from the base education office, base staff, and current and prospective students at Edwards Air Force Base.
Understand The Community Solution policies/guidance as it relates to safeguarding student privacy and educational records consistent with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
In compliance with applicable rules and regulations, coordinate with Installation Education Services Officers (ESO) or duly appointed authority to establish recurring visits/meetings to ensure student populations are afforded the opportunity to discuss/address academic items/issues of interest (in person or in groups).
Support the vision, structure, and strategies for all military and veteran outreach and partnership programs at The Community Solution.
Work with The Community Solution and college and university admissions leadership to provide proactive on-base engagement opportunities and recruiting opportunities and education presentations. The Military Outreach Liaison will collect feedback, submit reporting weekly reporting, and provide any additional information needed.
Research, confirm, and attend military and veteran on-base events and activities to promote The Community Solution and create opportunities to build brand awareness throughout the Edwards AFB community.
In collaboration with admissions staff, generate new student enrollments and source opportunities for military affiliated new student growth.
Act as a subject matter expert regarding The Community Solution, including but not limited to detailed information on all degree programs, assistance with answering questions about Tuition Assistance and Veteran education benefits.
Represent The Community Solution through outreach efforts by:
Holding regular office hours to provide support services to current students.
Attending education fairs and other recruiting events.
Briefing Edwards AFB education office staff on The Community Solution programs and offerings and ensuring that The Community Solution materials are consistently replenished.

Expertise in establishing professional business relationships.
Self-motivated, autonomous, and goal-oriented without constant manager supervision.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate The Community Solution value propositions in both oral and written communications.
Ability to work in a positive, team-oriented manner with a variety of people (students, faculty, staff, administrators, and members of the general public).
Requirements:
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid Driver's License.
Minimum 5 years of military affiliated experience, preferably with a recruiting background.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various methods of electronic communication.
Expertise in public speaking and communication with large groups required.
Ability to travel to other military bases, events, or campuses as needed.
Must be flexible to work nights and weekends as needed.
The position is based at Edwards Air Force Base and daily on-site work is required.
