Job Summary:

The Corporate FP&A team is responsible for facilitating enterprise financial growth strategy, annual planning, and contributing to long-term financial health for the organization. The team succeeds by building strong relationships with executive and finance groups across the company, grounding in financial data and delivering effective solutions through concise storytelling. Ideal candidates for this role will have executive level partnership and communication skills, a proven leadership track record, and the ability to influence financial outcomes from a corporate perspective.

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role will function as a partner to directors and executives, as well as take responsibility for development of internal team resources. This role will guide divisional units through the annual financial planning process and continue to improve how we set consolidated profitability targets. As a finance leader, the expectation is to raise the level of all finance groups, leveraging a deep understanding of enterprise financials and business profitability drivers to identify and implement opportunities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities of the Team:

  • Ownership for Annual Financial Plan and Forecasts including consolidation activities, analysis of performance, and presentation of enterprise results. Act as the principal partner for business groups as they develop divisional projections and highlight areas of risk and opportunity to our executive team.
  • Continuously improve the process for evaluation of performance, enterprise target setting, and capital strategy through partnership with key actuarial and finance teams.
  • Lead ad-hoc financial strategy projects with realistic and incremental solutions that display an understanding of customer needs and current state.
  • Provide actionable insights and data driven analysis that supports and reflects an understanding of individual business needs to drive executive decisions.
  • Support potential reinsurance or M&A activity as needed, representing Corporate FP&A needs and partnering with relevant stakeholders to determine financial impacts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team and ensure continued development of FP&A analysts’ skills and autonomy.


Skills and Background You’ll Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Markets, Economics, Management Information system, Business Analytics or equivalent field
  • Master’s degree or CFA a plus.

Experience:

  • 7 years or more progressive experience in corporate finance, planning, strategy, M&A, or equivalent. Strong preference for candidates who have led financial planning and have previous experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Fully proficient in MS Office and familiarity with financial systems (Workday, Oracle, SAP, or related) (required).
  • PowerBi, Tableau or other similar visualization software, as well as FP&A tools (Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, etc.). (preferred)

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$111,500.00 - $178,500.00
