Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client located in Doral, FL that is seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automating the building of virtual machines and a strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage the automation of virtual machine builds


• Maintain and optimize Wintel server environments


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions


• Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks, system monitoring, patching, and deployment processes utilizing tools


• Familiar with Dynatrace and correlating notifications for more efficient problem resolution


• Ensure the stability, security, and performance of virtualized environments


• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtual machines and related infrastructure


• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience


• Extensive experience with VMware and Nutanix for virtual machine management


• Proven expertise in automating the build and deployment of virtual machines


• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies


• Familiarity with AIOps methodologies and tools


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in VMware, Nutanix, or Kubernetes


• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python


• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
