RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a rapidly growing Tech service provider located in NYC, is seeking a Controller for a fully remote role. This is an exciting remote opportunity where you will build and scale the accounting team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Controller will play a critical role in managing all activities related to accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and internal controls to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial stability. Responsibilities include:

• Hands-on management of all areas of accounting, including but not limited to month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, and financial reporting


• Oversee the development and adoption of accounting policies and processes to ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulations, such as US GAAP and local and international regulatory requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance


• CPA preferred


• 10+ years of strong and broad experience in accounting and ability to apply GAAP

knowledge to business scenarios with 3 or more years leading a team of accounting and finance professionals

• Most recent experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller or Director of Accounting is preferred


• Superior technical accounting skills, knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, the control environment, budget reporting, and operations of the accounting and finance functions


• Revenue recognition accounting experience is important in this role


• Strong interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communications skills


• Strong executive presence - comfortable and credible interfacing within executive leadership


• Ability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment, managing multiple projects and working cooperatively to meet multiple priorities simultaneously.


• Experience working in Tech based, PE-backed environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
