Job Description
The Principle Training & Development Specialist (PTDS) position supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Cavazos, Texas. This position primarily supports MILES Training.
Job duties include:
Assists the customer with technical assistance and training in set-up, installation, use, and de-installation of MILES equipment and associated TADSS.
Required to be a Subject Matter Expert on all forms of MILES.
The MILES Trainers travel to Army locations CONUS and OCONUS to train units and serve as MILES Contact Teams during exercises.
Contact Team missions may require work outside in austere environments and inclement weather during day, night, and weekend periods.
May include coordinating with training units to configure MILES and associated equipment to support unit training plans.
Adheres to Company, Site Manager, and Section directives, memoranda, policies, and procedures.
Supports quality/ISO, security and safety training programs.
Safeguards all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
Will be cross-trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.
Job Requirements
Four years' past experience with U.S. Army training devices including MILES used in a military training environment.
Past experience as a Supervisor or Lead Trainer is desired.
Past experience with training U.S. military members in the use of training aids and devices.
Past work experience with U.S. Army Ground Tactical Engagement Systems (TES) is desired.
Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be familiar with national/state OSHA regulations, local EPA regulations, and HAZMAT processing.
Must be able to travel in CONUS and OCONUS; must possess a valid passport.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC).
Must possess a valid driver's license and Post driving privileges.
Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must be able to read and understand manufacturers' manuals or technical documents.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
