Job Description

Hoefer Welker is seeking a qualified Project Manager to manage medical equipment planning or medical equipment procurement consulting services within the healthcare architectural design and construction industry. As a member of an integrated Clinical Technology team, this role demonstrates ability to manage medical equipment planning or procurement tasks for small to medium-size projects, but with possible oversight from senior level project managers. This role demonstrates experience with organizing and delivering tasks such as using an online medical equipment database to develop medical equipment plans, developing spreadsheets, data-entry and reporting of information using an online medical equipment database, gathering price quotations from vendors, developing medical equipment or procurement documents and deliverables, participating in, or overseeing, on-site medical equipment installations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of medical equipment planning and design phase process and/or knowledge of medical equipment supply chain, procurement validation, milestone scheduling, pre-construction equipment coordination and equipment installation coordination.
  • Develop procurement activities and lead-time schedules.
  • Administer Request for Quotes (RFQ) to medical equipment suppliers and review for accuracy against design specifications.
  • Interact and lead discussions with client's supply chain and project teams to source equipment appropriate for each project.
  • Data-entry and reporting within medical equipment database application
  • Research and gather technical specifications from vendor websites or via direct communication
  • Review architectural floorplans and comparing to equipment database data for accuracy.
  • Develop and organize project phase deliverables (BlueBeam, database reports, spreadsheets)
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic project files.
  • Ability to travel as needed per project requirements.

Job Requiremetns

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent as well as some college preferred. This person should have 3-5 years of experience in medical equipment planning or medical equipment supply chain/purchasing. Experience in an architecture office is desirable, but not essential.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment.

Qualifications/Skills: Candidate must work independently as the main project liaison and utilizes project coordinator support members to deliver the work. May require additional support/input from senior-level medical equipment planner or supervisor. Serves as the primary liaison with client and architectural design teams. Participates in project design meetings and is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating deliverables. Actively manages project communications and documentation. Maintains awareness of project financial management (scope of services, project workplans, managing hours/costs vs. fee) and A/R collections for projects.
