Position Overview:
The Accounting Intern will work directly under the supervision of a member of the accounting services management team and will provide outstanding service to internal and external clients. This position has the potential to become a direct hire in a full time position after graduation.
Essential Functions:
Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects
Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual and present
Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer Services
Respond to inquiries and requests
Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors

Ability to gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research

Requirements:
Intern must be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 preferred
Active participation in student organizations and work experience in related field a plus, but not required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
Must be able to work in a team environment
Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite
This position will be on site in our office in Owings Mills, MD. The schedule requires 40 hours/week within a "typical" Monday - Friday business week and is flexible.
The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the intern will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers and will be assigned a team member as a Peer Contact.
Work Style:

The hourly rate for this job in this market is $26.00 - $26.00. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position. You will receive overtime pay at a rate of one and one-half times your hourly rate for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation. Interns will also receive a pro-rated amount of paid sick time dependent upon start date.
