Job Description:
Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Media, PA 19063
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:15am-2:45pm (Full-Time)
Type: Open-Ended Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Offer continuous emotional support to students.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Educate students in grades 9-12 across various subjects.
Address and manage classroom behavior.
Work with support staff to ensure effective classroom management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Special Education certification
Bachelor's Degree minimum
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience with behavior management
Ability to teach multiple subjects
PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 2 years)
FBI Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints (within 2 years)
PA Criminal History Check (within 2 years)
TB Test (within 3 months)
Physical or documentation authorized to work (within 1 year)
Mandated Reporter Training Certification (within 4-5 years)
CPR/First Aid Certification
Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 182)
Completed Act 168
Any additional certifications are a plus!
