Description: Our client is currently seeking a Remote Sales Support for a 9+ month contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Position supports Sales Reps and acts as their right hand.
The sales rep gets the account and turns it over to Sales Support for maintenance.
Review and process paperwork, handle billing, ID cards and communicate (mostly via e-mail) with the customer.
Knowledge of health insurance benefits is a major plus
Need exceptional customer service skills!
Must be able resolve problems and complex situations in a calm fashion
Responsible for the implementation of new groups, renewals, and conversion of groups to new product lines.
Researches, interprets, and responds to inquiries from internal and external customer
Creates and delivers presentations to external customers. •
Manages any de-implementations associated with a complex group that terminates from our portfolio when applicable. •
Assures that all account data is maintained on a timely and accurate basis such as initial account setup, benefit books, summaries, contracts, etc.
HOURS: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p 95% remote but may need to come onsite periodically for meetings
Reside in Syracuse, Utica or Rochester areas
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in related field preferred. In lieu of degree, 2 years of experience in service or healthcare industries.
Valid NYS Life, Accident and Health license within six months of employment required.
Familiarity with NYS and Federal regulations and underwriting policies and all process flows.
Strong oral/written communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in fast paced environment and remain professional and focused under multiple pressures and demands.
PC skills essential: spreadsheet and word processing applications, database functions and sales force automation software applications.
Physical Requirements: • Ability to travel within the Health Plan service region as necessary to offer support for on-site visits to groups/brokers, open enrollments, training, and/or off-site meetings.
LAH certification preferred but not required.
