The Donor Services Specialist will support the Donor Services Team with the day to day (or administrative functions) operations of the department through gift processing, receipting and data entry using the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge platform; as well as maintaining hardcopy and electronic files.
Accurately enters gifts into Raiser's Edge, directly, via batch, or through imports/connectors for daily posting. Ensures funds, appeals, events, and packages are accurately added to the record.
Generates acknowledgement letters and tax receipts.
Manages gift tributes and their acknowledgement and compiles honor/memorial lists for quarterly publication.
Tracks, verifies, and ensures all matching gifts and third-party donation requests are properly processed and receipted.
Creates complex data queries, lists, exports/imports, and reports for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and database hygiene.
Assists with the monthly contribution reconciliation with Financial Services pertaining to gifts received.
Creates, edits and updates constituent records.
Organizes and maintains hardcopy and electronic filing systems.
Manages inventory of stationery items required for gift processing.
Assists with the standards and policies for the database.
Stays abreast of all software used within the Advancement department.
Provides exceptional customer service over the phone, through email, and via other channels in responding to donor inquiries regarding gift processing and answering questions about the organization.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of related database/gift processing e xperience or training using the Blackbaud platform and various Third-Party donation aggregators preferred.
REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS
Proficiency with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge software and all programs that interface with that software preferred.
Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other cloud-based platforms to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to details, and a critical degree of data entry accuracy a must.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree preferred.
Raiser's Edge NXT Certification preferred.
Familiarity with CASE preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to remain in a sedentary position 90% of the time.
Ability to move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across office for various needs.
Ability to position self to access file cabinets and office machinery including copier, printer, etc.
