This research position will assist the Soloff laboratory in investigating the intersection of pulmonary macrophages, environmental respiratory exposures, and lung cancer. The investigator will be responsible for advancing the lab’s research program as part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians. This entails conducting experiments, analyzing data, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals. The investigator will design and execute experimental protocols, often related to molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or genomics, and ensuring the integrity and reproducibility of the results.
• Supervising medical students and collaborating with residents who participate in data collection and other aspects of the group's research projects; arranging database creation and updates with our statisticians and data analyst and managers
• Supporting evidence-building with presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts for the research group at local and national meetings
• Helping manage all projects throughout all phases of their lifecycle from inception to publication. In addition, the postdoctoral associate will work on other scholarly projects for the research program.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Postdoc position requires MD or Ph.D. degree in biological science or another relevant technical background
•Demonstrated independent research output
• Any research experience is preferred.
• Experienced post-doctoral candidates are preferred; however, those applicants with a strong interest in the field of research are encouraged to apply.
