A Postdoctoral Associate position in exploring protein dynamics and regulation is available in the laboratory of Dr. Gur in the Department of Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The position will involve the use and development of molecular modeling and simulation techniques to investigate the molecular details of protein function, dynamics, regulation, and the effects of mutations.
The Gur Lab is seeking a candidate who recently earned a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology, or related field. Extensive experience with molecular dynamics simulations of proteins is required. The candidate will have the opportunity to receive training relevant to understanding the structure, dynamics, function and regulation of proteins. The salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.
