The Role
Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will support the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead in all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding for commercial and industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up estimates, including correct alternates, general conditions, and accurate vendor and subcontractor pricing, labor production, and wage rates in alignment with bid strategy.
Conduct take-offs, identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items using take-off software.
Provide correct project information to appropriate parties during the turnover and planning phases.
Validate that detailed and accurate information is delivered to the operations team to support project execution.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience with structural concrete estimating is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
Familiarity with a variety of project types, with an emphasis on Commercial/Industrial construction.
General knowledge of construction principles and practices, with experience on projects over $1 million.
Knowledge of negotiated bids and hard bids.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required.
