Responsible for the start & stop of all machines & auxiliary equipment.
Responsible for processing machines, making machine adjustments.
Needs to follow appropriate lockout/tagout procedures and other preventive maintenance procedures
Responsible for making color changes, plate changes and insert changes
Reads PCDs and follows instructions
Responsible for making quality adjustments.
Communicate effectively with quality department, supervisors and shift personnel.
Records machine downtime in the system and creates appropriate documentation
Education and/or Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
Experience with plastic injection molding is preferred
Skills:
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple machine adjustments and repairs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Troubleshoot problems and report issues
Must work well in a team environment
Must be able to understand PCDs
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
