Reports to: QC Supervisor
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 2 years Quality Control, Lamination, color matching, embossing or related experience.
Minimum of 2 years color experience.
General experience in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Production: Lamination, Print, and General Quality
Verify that standards and drawdowns are correct
Compare standards to production for quality assurance.
Identifies quality problems and coordinates changes in print/lamination.
Communicate problems to management on any issues.
Calls attention to and provides details on upcoming "complaint" jobs.
Ensure that all Color Matchers check that the Ink quantity, quality, and viscosity is correct, consistently monitored, properly maintained and are being matched to the right color standard
Provide color approvals and assist Print Operator with color issues
Identify and respond to problems in print
Provide direction and guidance with and without supervisor/ manager
Staff/Equipment Supervision:
Assist Production Supervisor with the running of the Print Department and its workflow.
Advise Production Supervisor if personnel are not properly trained on print functions
Assist in training of print personnel
Monitor the day-to-day processes to ensure a safe Print Operation and that PPE is used properly
Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained
Ensure that print machine is properly maintained
Support Quality Control:
Viewing product samples and recording results
Testing product samples and recording results
Checking the next order to determine that all the necessary job jackets and standard folders are correct.
Check/test incoming raw materials as needed.
Inventory and Equipment Control:
Ensure that Embossing Rollers are properly maintained
Monitor supply inventory to ensure that we are properly stocked with
Back up rubber rollers.
Raw materials - adhesive and various backing materials.
Testing Laboratory - equipment and supplies maintained.
Excellent attention to detail/accuracy and organizational skills.
