Teaches undergraduate and/or graduate courses with an anticipated course load of 3/3. Demonstrates a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Initiate and collaborate in research and grant activities leading to scholarly publications and will participate fully in departmental, college, and university meetings and committees.
Earned Doctorate in reading, literacy, or related fields.
Three years of experience in K-6 schools in ELAR classroom teaching settings, and developed or developing research agenda in the field of literacy education.
Preferred experiences include K-3 teaching experience, working with field-based elementary school sites, university teaching, reading specialist certification, literacy coaching, teaching in the area of diagnosis and treatment of clinical reading difficulties, and teaching online courses are preferred. Candidates should have the potential for developing collaborative partnerships with the community.
