The Department of Music in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to serve as the Music Education Coordinator and teach undergraduate music education courses beginning August 1, 2025. Higher rank will be considered for appropriately qualified candidates. The annual contract is for 9.5 months with a competitive salary and 3-2 teaching load. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching, mentoring of students, and active scholarship. Applicants with a record of or interest in program building and recruiting are particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants are expected to have minimum 3-5 years of successful teaching experience in K-12 schools (public or private) and a completed Ph.D in Music Education by the time of hiring. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered.
Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
