Caterpillar has an open Accountant position supporting capital accounting for Caterpillar Fuel Systems and Aftertreatment products. In this role you will guide business decisions and deliver recommendations for key investments to senior leadership.
What you will do:
Capital Analysis & Governance (evaluating returns on investments, helping prioritize spend through financial analysis and tracking capital commitments).
Close partnership with the Manufacturing Engineering, Product, and Purchasing teams.
Lead financial dialogue by presenting and reporting financial results to senior leadership.
Financial closing activities adhering to accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
Development and maintenance of internal controls over fixed assets, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentation, testing and reporting for assigned areas.
What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in - Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Cash flow and financial analysis experience
Experience presenting to senior leadership
