Repairs and maintains electrical systems and equipment for production machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, including control panels, circuits, motors, and sensors.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and servo systems to control machine operations.
Install and modify electrical wiring, components, and systems for new equipment or facility upgrades.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to understand system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
Adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical maintenance technicians and other team members to ensure coordinated maintenance and problem-solving.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficient in using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters.
Must have a strong understanding of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, hazard communication, and emergency response procedures.
Experience with industrial machinery and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
