Are you our next Superintendent, Engineering?
The Superintendent of Mine Engineering will be accountable to lead the Mine Engineering department to deliver safe and effective mine engineering services, including but not limited to mine design and layout, mine planning, mine ventilation design and reporting, environmental conditions monitoring, capital project management, mineral exploration, and underground ore handling system design.
What will you do?
Select, develop, and lead an effective engineering organization to achieve planned objectives. Ensure all projects are evaluated to ensure that any hazards to workers, the public, the environment, or the integrity of the mine will be minimized through project design parameters.
Lead in development of new mining methods and practices, and in modification to existing equipment and systems within the underground mine to improve safety, reduce costs, and improve mining efficiency.
Supervise short-range and long-range mine planning for efficient layout and maximum extraction; preparation of progress maps including, assay, contour, ventilation and ore reserves.
Actively participate in Mosaic's relentless pursuit of an injury-free workplace through leadership of targeted initiatives.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a major in Civil, Environmental, Mining or related engineering discipline strongly preferred
7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent with 3+ years of people leadership
Underground mining or heavy construction experience with exposure to environmental and safety compliance and management elements. Demonstrated engineering and design experience.
Microsoft Office experience required. Emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
