The Director of Northside Common Ministries will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the department’s services. Duties and responsibilities include programmatic leadership, project/contract management, program development, budgeting and ensuring successful program outcomes, impact and financial performance, formulating policies, managing daily operations and ensuring the utilization of industry best practices in program operations that set the organization apart from other local providers and poise the organization strategically when applying for additional funding.


Duties will also include but are not limited to:



  • Oversee the daily operations of NCM, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise shelter staff, including Resident Assistants and administrative personnel

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to support NCM’s mission.

  • Represent NCM at community meetings and events to raise awareness and build support.

  • Supervise the Shelter Coordinator, Community Engagement Specialist, and other key staff.

  • Ensure the shelter’s physical environment is well-maintained and meets safety standards.


  • Adhere to and promote the policies and standards of Goodwill SWPA and the NCM site.  




External Hiring Range: $62,920 up to $65,436.80 annually


Travel: Yes, travel is required.


Qualifications: 



  • Associate’s degree and 6 years of experience directly related to providing human/social services. OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 year of experience directly related to providing human/social services.

  • Master’s degree and 2 years experience directly related to providing human/social services. 


Preferred Experience: 



  • Working with individuals residing in a shelter or similar transitional housing preferred.


Additional Qualifications:



  • Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) upon hire.
