Office Location & Schedule: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.
Pay Rate: $21.395/hour
This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions
Serves as main point of contact for Nebraska Career & Technical Education (CTE) and maintains daily operations of the office including answering phones, directing and answering inquiries, and coordinating the work of other Office Associates.
Coordinates logistics for meetings and workshops including travel, time, agenda, registration, equipment, invitees, food, lodging, and contracts as well as payments for vendors and participants.
Creates correspondence, forms, brochures, presentations, reports, summaries, and other mailings for workshops, conferences, meetings, etc.
Generates, processes, and routes contracts and grants for office workshops, meetings, speakers, and staff.
Processes and maintains databases and spreadsheets for the dissemination of data.
Maintains filing system processes including records retention and submission of late dated files. Performs audits on filing systems monthly to assure necessary components are included.
Creates and maintains internal and external webpages, as well as Google Drive documents.
Processes expense reimbursements, payments, purchase requests, travel requests, and other staff documents.
Assists with planning, budget, and implementing priorities for the Office of Career, Technical, & Adult Education.
Assists with CTE projects including development of reports and publications integrating information with other Nebraska Department of Education offices and priorities.
Collaborates with other Office Associates to carry out clerical functions and processes in support of the department.

Working Conditions and Travel:
This position requires approximately 90% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 10% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as workshops, conferences, and meetings. There is also approximately ten days of overnight travel per year.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:Postsecondary education related to the essential functions of the position. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Access and experience with web page development, especially using WordPress. Familiarity with government agencies and working with a large team.
