Paragon is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for receiving, logging and researching clients request for quotes (RFQ’s). In addition to partnering with the outside sales team, the Inside Sales Engineer will work with Operations and management for continuous improvement and best practices opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Read and understand client RFQ’s to determine technical and quality requirements and client expectations in order to quote specific and correct products and solutions
Process RFQ’s in accordance with procedures and provide accurate proposals to clients in a timely manner
Research for technical and quality requirements
Contact suppliers for quotes to develop
Maintain all quote files and information per the procedures
Interface with engineering, production, purchasing and shipping as required
Proofread all quote material for content and accuracy prior to sending to client
Respond to client phone calls and emails in a timely manner
Assist with order entry and other sales related functions, as necessary
Assist Account Executives with client interface and support
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related field required
Must have 3 - 5 years of sales or customer service related experience
Prior experience with quoting or working with DOD, DOE or international clients is a plus
Prior experience in the Nuclear industry is a plus
Strong communication skills (oral and written) required
Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, other computer
Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to handle multiple priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Present a professional image at all time to customers (internal and external) and vendors
Able to work with minimal supervision
Able to work with Account Executives and Operations personnel to provide excellent customer service
Able to achieve and maintain rapport with clients to provide excellent customer service
