Location: Boston, Massachusetts
This individual will work under the supervision of the Director of the Thyroid and Parathyroid Endocrine Surgical Division. Responsible for administrative support for research in a variety of administrative organizational and educational projects, as well as administrative support for task force work on diversity, equity, and inclusion. These include projects on scientific presentations/outpoints and organizational and educational activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides administrative research support for all aspects for the Director of Thyroid and Parathyroid Endocrine Surgical Division
o Must demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to manage cross-functional deliverables and timelines successfully.
o Provide clerical assistance by answering phones, typing articles and correspondence.
o Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
o Ability to take on new tasks and adapt to different work assignments. Other duties as assigned.
• Supply Chain Tasks:
o Assist in expense reimbursements
o Process eBuy ordering of supplies.
• Event Coordination:
o Make seminar room reservations, travel/lodging arrangements, and organize lunch for all intra-departmental talks, and visitor lecture series.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years administrative experience preferred. Key attributes include: A. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. B. Excellent written and spoken English language skills. C. High attention to detail. D. Demonstrated ability to proofread and correct one's own work and complete tasks with minimal supervision. E. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. F. Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills. G. Professional demeanor, eagerness for professional growth, and challenging work.
