Position Overview:
The Onsite Support Technician - III, you will collaborate with managers, Avidex resources, manufacturers, and customers to support, operate, and maintain audiovisual and IT systems at customer facilities. Success in this role requires a background in audio, video, and control systems, along with a solid understanding of computers and networks. Key attributes include attention to detail, punctuality, good communication skills, and proficiency in maintaining audiovisual systems.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED;
Associate degree preferred
4+ years of experience in technical or onsite support within the AV/IT industry
AVIXA CTS certification (must be obtained within one year)
Proficient in using Windows and Apple software
Strong computer networking skills
Intermediate proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, testing, and adjusting integrated Audiovisual (AV)/Information Technology (IT) systems
Proficient in using software, hand tools, and test equipment of the Audiovisual (AV)/Information Technology (IT) trades
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and attention to detail
Flexible work hours, including potential weekend commitments
Responsibilities
Provide client support for meetings and conferences, including setup, operation, and tear-down of AV equipment
Coordinate AV resources for client meetings and conferences, including planning for large events and accommodating last-minute requests
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and repairing all AV equipment, including video conference and audio DSPs, video walls, and projection;
Providing preventative maintenance care to clients ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently;
Diagnose and resolve control system issues with remote support
Provide preventive maintenance
Review open tickets and customer support history with applicable staff
Offer technical guidance to team members
Timely and accurate maintenance of support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists
Ensuring all safety standards required by OSHA are implemented;
Accurately and promptly complete support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists.
Mentor team members to foster ongoing professional development within the organization.
