Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair,
installation, and inspection work to be done.
Plans out details of working procedures to determine material needed and/or replacement needs and selects a logical approach to troubleshoot and repair problems. Climbs on buildings towers cranes and mill equipment to inspect, make repairs, service and preventive Maintenance.
Must be a highly motivated, self-starting individual, willing to work some weekends, and able to work in an industrial environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience within a HVAC setting as a HVAC Tech/ Service.
Valid driver's license
EPA Universal 608 Certification
N.A.T.E Certification or have had N.A.T.E Certification in the past
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience with troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, chillers, boilers and water cooled/heated air handlers.
5 years of experience in areas such as Fujitsu mini splits, electrical cabinet air conditioners such as Rittal, McLean, and Nvent.
Experience with oil coolers, motor VFD, zoning system and Trane 90-ton air conditioning units
